Rear wiper delete plug
#1

Anyone know where I can find a quality rear wiper delete plug that does not cost $40.00. Found one on ebay, but @ $40.00 plus shipping ($10.00) seems a stretch for what it is...... Does the factory sell one?

Thanks in advance.

Home Depot......Plastic cover is inexpensive. Take the rubber insert with you so you can find the exact match and use a little contact cement....Luck

I just used an elevator blot. Cost about 2 dollars, and it doesn't leak.

I've been looking at the state of my grommet, it's gne a grey colour with the sun ( I assume it was black orginally). I'm thinking of making a new one out of black Acetal and also making a large diameter knurled locking nut for the inside face. Then by hand tightening only, which should be sufficient as there are rubber washers there as well, no thread stripping should occur. Also thought about milling a pocket on the grommet face to take a Porsche badge but Acetal does not respond to glues well. Might look stupid having a badge there. What do you think, anyone, anyone. Fry?

Thanks for all the ideas.......... I think I've found exactly what I had in mind from an industrial supply company. It's made of a black, hard nylon material, and is a snap in fit. Unfortunately I had to order the bag-o-100, so if anybody needs one (or ten) of these, PM me and I'll send a handful.
