Rear Wing Rattle
#21

Thanks, very helpful to have the photo and sequence of where the pieces go. Printing out the info and keeping it for when I'll get in there next time , right now the temporary fix is working ok .

porsche shows that bolt as a 5mm not a 4mm. am ordering a set just to have for when i feel up to removing the wing and replacing those bolts ( the one on the other side is not tight either - it just spins around in either direction, but does not come out and there is some very little movement in that part of the wing as well..) . however, the wing is holding well enough for now no rattles so leaving it alone

the problem is the frame itself, not the screws. the material is very soft, and strips easily from people over-tightening the screws, and failing to use loctite.

i would completely remove the frame. then get some JB Weld and put it in every one of the holes (not just the bad ones). then, carefully and slowly drill and tap the holes back out. then reassemble and put the screws in with loctite 242.
