Rear Bumperette Mod
#1

Just removed my rear bumperettes. I made new panels from aluminium, then sprayed them black. I am going to send them out for black anodize later.

Now I just need euro front TS lenses.

Would there be any interest in having these made?

It is a simple 10 minute install.

I removed my rear bumperettes, too.

And I just have empty holes!

What did you do, again? I can't really tell from your photos.

I'd be interested in something that is clean and that hides the holes.

I would also be interested.

How do they attach?

I've never had the rear bumperettes off...how big are the holes? Can you use BumperPlugs?

Silvy,

They attach to the licence plate bracket. I made the piece from .062 aluminium plate.

Darryl,

The hole left under the bumpers are about 4" square. Bumper plugs look to me like painted factory bumpers.

Patrick,

I tried this earlier by attaching the plate to the mounting tabs that the bumperettes mount to in order to get the plate to hug the car.

Your photo looks like it closely hugs the original metal.

I would like to see what it looks like on my 968. Do you plan on cutting another one that I could purchase from you, or can you post a .pdf drawing with dimensions so that those of us who want can make one?
