Clear Euro Turn signal lens group buy
#21

Has anyone ever cut the lenses from the main body?

DIY with a dremel with a diamond cut off wheel, or gently split ??

can't you warm them in the oven to separate them?

I've heard of lots of people baking tailights, headlights, turn signals, etc. to warm up and soften the glue or sealant and then gently prying apart lenses and reflectors.

If we ever get them I'll try. How hot for how long?

Has anyone received an update?

There was talk of a group buy for the clear indacators over here in the uk but it never came off. I fitted the 993 units but took them straight off as the fit isnt very good, i experimented with an amber unit but ended up breaking the lense trying to remove it !!

E-mail from today:

Dear Brian,

The 968 lenses is finally on their way!

We think that we are going to sell the lenses as only the front piece and the front lens with assembly as a another option.

I’ll keep you updated!

Thanks and best regards

Joakim Jansson

after getting all excited I emailed turnclear to ask about the lens. Here is the reply I got.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for email!

Unfortuneataly we don't sell the side turn lens for the front engine

porsches. Another swedish comapany sells this item, www.nioeleva.se

Thats the only soruce i can recommend for you, but those lenses are not hard

to find elsewhere.

Regards

Joakim

Now, what's that all about?

The URL is broken and a search (i.e. google, yahoo, etc.) does not show any listings for "www.nioeleva.se". I am not surprised by the response. This seems like a huge market waiting to be exploited.

Hi

The link is not broken, just spelled wrong. If you go to; www.nioelva.se

you will come right at it !

It`s also another site that can help you guys with white lights; www.autotuning.no

Those guys live for the Porsches and have many connections around the world. If you go into my album you will see that a buddy of mine has the white blinkers, bought from Autotuning. Sorry that the site is in Norwegian only, but dial +47 in front of their tlf number and I`m sure they can help....
