#1

Am getting my bumper painted and want to put a clear bra on. Invinca shield is no longer in business.

i called sticker city in van nuys, they do not have a kit for the 968 and will charge $375 to do the bumper

Any suggestions? Invinca shield kit was only $91

Try CLEAR BRA: http://www.clearbra.net/home2.html

They have a dealer in Irvine, CA.

Also 3M product is Invisible Mask: http://www.invisiblemask.com/site.html

And, StonGard: http://www.stongard.com/default.aspx

I'd recommend the 3M product, and would try to find someone who does custom jobs. If you find a good guy, they don't need a kit.

Paragon sells the Stongard kits. $379 for the full kit or $219 for the partial kit.

when i talked to chuck about that kit about 6 months ago, he said he no longer had them, and could no longer get them - stoneguard was also no longer making them - i suspect that the website might be out of date

In addition to a clear bra, I would recommend getting headlight and driving light protectors. I purchased a set off of Ebay about 3 years ago for $7.00! I could swear they were made by Stongard. They just overlay the lights and keep small stones from chipping the lenses. They are about 2-3 mm thick, and are removable.

they probably were - mine are - unfortunately they did not prevent the 4x4 the tow truck guy was using as a ramp extension from flipping up and shattering the headlight

no so removeable though - the glue leaves odd bubble patterns on the cover that won't smooth out after removal that show up the next light you put them on

but they did say "stone" guard and not "lumber" guard

Actually, mine have no adhesive whatsoever. The material just sortof "sticks" to the lens. 20K+ miles and thay have never come off, except when I had to remove them due to an unfortunate incident involving a parking block and the front bumper valance! After the bodywork, I just stuck them back on.
