tired of going bra-less?
#1

i'm polling interest on clear bra kits - nobody currently makes one for the 968, and i have an opportunity to start, if there is enough interest to warrant it

these would be kits you can either install yourself pretty easily, or pay an installer to do

cost is likely to be near $300 to cover the nose, the mirrors, just behind the fenders, and the rocker panels

Flash, I had one put on "ol blue" at the local Tint & Trim Factory and they did not have any problem obtaining the material for my 968. It was pricey ($300) and didn't hold up from highway speed bugs, rock & debris damage as long as I expected. Chris Lennon has had much better results from the clear bra on his Cab. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

yeah - different films have different features

i'm probably going with avery - 3M is good, but it has its complications - avery has some real advantages over 3M, if i can get it done, but as you would expect, it's a bit more expensive than 3M

I'm interested. The shop that did my paint job recommended a place for a clear bra - I think the installed price was in the range of $800!!! I'm not rushing to spend that.

just had a vision of my 968 looking like one of those living room sofas and chairs which people used to cover with clear plastic

ok, i realize this will be a near-invisible, subtle as can be bra but can't really commit until I see one live,

on a 968

i saw the $1,000 +/- custom laser clear bra on a MBZ and the edge of the bra looked like someone keyed the car, albeit in a perfect straight line scratch ours will probably not present with that problem because I'm guessing it will end right at the nose separation point, but I'm still waiting for a live view..

+1 on interest - of course that would lead to a front respray first...

Just had mine re-done (after 6 years on the car with the old one), and the newer 3M material is fabulous. I have a guy who's a real artist with the stuff, and freehands the whole thing (doesn't use a kit). Ran less than $300 for coverage of all the problem areas.
