porsche cayenne rotors with 928 s4 calipers
#1

i picked up some 928 s4 calipers and am now have a couple questions. can i run these calipers with stock rotors? (i want the bigger rotors, and will get them, but am wondering if they would work with stock rotors.) i also read online that some people are running cayenne rotors. they're 330mm but i think the offset is different. one of the pluses ive noticed to these rotors is tirerack has them for $86! does anyone know if these rotors are compatible with ours cars and 928 s4 calipers?

heres the rotors on tirerack:

928S4 calipers are the same as the M030 calipers. You will need the M030 rotors and adaptors to mount these normally radially mounted calipers axially.

You probably could get adaptors fabricated but really those rotors are too big for the little S4 calipers. Cayenne rotors have been done with 996tt or GT3 6 piston calipers before.

Are the 928 S4 calipers the same as the 993 Turbo "Big Reds"? I have upgraded my front rotors and calipers to "Big Blacks", but I thought that the rotor and caliper were larger than M030. To fit these to a non-M030 car also required spacers for the calipers to mount.

yea i got the paragon caliper bracket, so it should bolt right up. the m030 968 rotors are the same as the 928 rotors correct?

the s4 calipers are not the same as the big reds, theyre smaller.

Size wise they are the same, but M030 are drilled whereas S4 rotors are plain. I just installed a set of plain Zimmermann S4 rotors on mine last month.
