I'm going to drag my car into the body shop soon to have some work done: paint the hatch trim and B-pillar body color and overhaul the mounting of the hatch trim and rear wing. Several screws are visibly missing around the hatch trim, and the wing is rocking fore and aft. Neither PET is very helpfult about screws, washers and nuts in this area. Anyone have part numbers or other suggestions? I want to have the parts on hand rather than tie the car up for days while parts are ordered.

My problem has been with the studs that are bonded to the hatch trim. These studs pass through slotted holes in the hatch frame and round, slotted nuts are used on the studs to fix the trim in place. As the years go by, the adhesive that bonds the stud to the trim ages and fails. I have not been able to come up with a bonding technique that is reliable so I continually have one or more of the studs out of service. IRRC, the other screws engage speed nuts and US sizes/head styles can be substituted. I've used stainless screws from Ace Hardware for this.

I was hoping jb weld would hold those studs, as I just reinforced a couple of them that had come dislodged on the 968 hatch I have on my 951. Time will tell, I guess...
