November East Coast 968 meet?
#1

I have a week of vacation in November without my wife and kid and don't know what to do with it. I would very much like to meet some of you guys, check out your cars, learn some stuff and start planning a to-do list for the spring.

Anyone on the East Coast interested? I'm in Toronto, but would be willing to drive as far south as the Carolinas or as far west as, well, the mid-west.

This would be really informal. I'm just looking for some face time with some of you guys and an opportunity to see firsthand what mods I like.

Let me know if you're interested.

I'm always up for hosting at my place since I have plenty of room, but there was talk on another thread about talking with Pete at RS barn to host some sort of fall get together, perhaps an "open house" or similar. That'd be a great centralized location and there are quite a few new owner's and board members in that area. If others want to chime in here on this thread, we can see what interest there is before the weather gets too bad.

Not to take anything away from RS Barn but i could arrange to have a meet at IMA Motrosport in Chantilly, VA. We could discuss the up and coming Turbo kit for the 968. We have 6 lifts for any work you may want to do. Just a suggestion.

Funny, when my wife and kids were gone for a week this past summer I had no problem filling up the time.....

I'll be following this thread as I am East Coasting it again in Nov - what a hoot it would be to meet another gang of 68ers.

I'm In!!! I am dying to see other 968's temperature gages. To my understanding it shouldn't go above 1/2 way (9 O'Clock) I own 3 968 cabs and they all rise above that mark. Also have family in VA it would give me an excuse to go and see them.

Thanks

With these fall temperatures, mine never makes it to the 1/4 mark. It sits a hair below and when I'm full throttle it drops from all the cold air rushing in.

I'm in for Nov as well.

Sounds like fun. Pete's place would be great as he is less than an hour away.

Maybe Pete hasn't seen this thread yet...looks as though we have enough interest if we can nail down a day...can you imagine the look on his face if we just show up one day?
