absolutely. with rev 2, there is zero flex. i haven't seen it on a car with a ripped wall yet to be sure that it also fixes the problem, but it is so stiff that i am reasonably sure it will

Cool! There's no sign of a tear on my firewall, but it does flex noticeably. As I mentioned awhile back, I can place a pry bar between the inside fender and the clutch slave cylinder, and with very little pressure, pull back on the pry bar and make the firewall flex quite noticeably. To me, the flex just looks like the consequence of the clutch master cylinder being near the edge of the firewall, which isn't fastened against the inner fender. That and 19 years of age and use...
