I thought it would be interesting to see if we can find the most expensive, MSRP-wise, 968 out there. I'm thinking it is going to be a late model, since the prices went up, and a TIP, and a cabriolet. So, the starting price on that car is $55,775 (94/95 tip cab base of $55,050 and destination charge of $725). Now, my 6 speed car has that beat, largely because of the $4,190 full leather interior option. My car's MSRP total is $60,363. So, anyone have one higher? If you have a loaded car but don't know the prices let me know your option codes and I'll work up your MSRP from my DB.

Great idea for a thread! I'm looking forward to seeing the responses. Considering that yours is a '92 and not a tiptronic, surely someone on here will reveal a car with a higher MSRP. Just because I love guessing games, I'll bet that the highest priced 968 revealed in this thread will be $66,500.

I plugged Jeff's $60,363 price in 1991 (assuming that is the year his MY1992 car was sold) into the US DoL's inflation calculator.

My insurance company has accepted the car as a classic one. (at least this model is one!) The todays value is 17.500 euro. 25750 dollar. So the bill is very low.....Car is also insured for theft and broken windows.
