Guten Tag! The previous owner of my car removed the lower engine cover, for ease of lower engine access. I've never had the opportunity to drive the car with the part installed, and wondered what the consensus is, reinstall or stow? If installed I would expect a bit more aerodynamic drag at high speeds, and road splash contamination of the lower engine bay, but what about effects on engine operating temps, noise levels, etc?? I searched the forum regarding thesubject but did not score any hits.
As always, thanks in advance for the advice <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/rolleyes.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> ................

If you are talking about the batwing (front apron), I have been told that it will reduce engine temps as the airflow is different with it off. I don't have one on mine and have been trying to find a reasonably priced one, but they don't seem to exist. You can buy them new through Porsche for $250-$300.

Thanks for info. I'll re-install this at next op.......and the brake cooling ducts I found stashed under the carpet in back, seems someone was a bit lazy and gaffed the re-install.
