#1

I was looking for a front spoiler to mount below. I could only find two sources. One was in Europe and they wanted 250# plus shipping for turbo 968 copy splitter/spoiler , other source is in USA but part is nla.

I think the EU spoiler looks better ...

Anyone know of any other sources?

gert at carnewal in belgium is where most of us got the real deal, which is polyurethane, unlike the gt racing which is fiberglass - 350 euros plus shipping was the last price i heard

A.I.R. might still make them. Along with other FG body panels.

they do - like most fiberglass units though, they tend to get hammered very quickly

one thing to think about when contemplating changing out main body panels (fenders and such that bolt on):

on a unibody car like ours, the body panels actually do a good portion of the chassis stiffening, especially up front - replacing them with carbon or fiberglass can significantly reduce the stiffness, thereby requiring other added stiffeners, which may actually increase the net weight (though done right you end up with a stiffer chassis than the sheet metal provided)

bottom line: everything has consequences, and most things are not as simple as they might seem

I totally agree with Flash about the stifness of the body.

Think twice before changing.

It is not just stiffening, the body panels are also incorporated into crash safety and impact absorbtion. Fiberglass was not used to develop crash worthyness in our cars.

Agree with above, poly is much more durable. I will check Carnewal..THANKS
