Hey all, the rear-right 6 1/2 inch woofer has blown in the back of my coupe; the car has the 10 speaker setup. I was wondering, if i replace all of the speakers, the front-left and front-right channels have a 3-way crossover that branches out to the tweeter, midrange, and woofer. I want to replace these with good, quality speakers (ie. Boston acoustics, infinity.. ect.). Would i be able to get a set of components (the woofer and the tweeter), along with a midrange, and combine the above listed with a 3-way crossover? Obviously, the rear speakers will also need a 2-way crossover. Also, how big is the midrange in the rear next to the 6 1/2 inch woofer?
I also plan on changing my head unit. I want to keep this car as stock as possible so a wire harness is the way to go, eh? ( in case i ever needed to sell the car.... right <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/rolleyes.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> )
The car is doing great though... the leak that i thought was the radiator ( or a gasket) turned out to be a loose hose. When i arrived home, i pulled it off of the trailer and proceeded to tighten all of the hoses. Not a problem since.
I need to make a doctors appointment for her to make sure that nothing will fail prematurely.
