That looks great...

Anybody tempted to get a kit from Carl ??? I am tempted, but $$$ is going into my kids college education at the moment.

not as the kit stands, no, and certainly not on my 15 year old head gasket, which is almost certainly disintegrating as much as every other original head gasket they've seen when they pull the head at rs barn

A lot of talk about head gaskets. Is replacing a gasket a big deal on a 968, compared to other cars?

requires some special tools to do it right, and the torque procedure is unconventional, but otherwise not that bad

For those of you who are interested, here is a video of my 968's speedo going 0-210km/h. I am sorry, but my mechanicel sympathy stops my from doing any other thing than a granny-start and shifting. I am sure, there could some parts of a second be found there...

I think it was closed due to lack of vendor ad fees?

Whoops. Just clicked your link. Your talking about the kit. The car is also for sale. BIN 14.5K
I would love to take that thing on a test drive. Seriously looking into a SC in the future as well.

So where is the airbox/filter located with this kit? I also wish they used better looking hose clamps...

The thread in question was closed for very real reasons, which we do not wish to discuss at this time.

The link to the unit was pulled from this thread.

We understand the desire to discuss it, but wish to discourage further discussion of that kit at this time. We will be discussing this position at the next owners meeting.

Besides, this thread is about Kunz's install, so let's keep it on topic.

Why do you guys want to hide the fact that our kit exists???????? Why will yuo not let us become vendors on this board? Why do you guys insist on having us jump through bells and whistles to become a sponser.I have contacted some of the other sponsers and they didnt have to do any of the things you asked of me.Why does the 968 forum hate us so much? Thanks!

Believe it or not, the world does not revolve around you. You continually take the position that we are out to get you or hate you. Sorry, but frankly we don't give you a second thought. Such thoughts and comments are pure paranoia.

Nobody is hiding anything about you, your company, or your products. In fact, we went out of our way to redirect the thread away from another system and back to the original subject, which is one of your systems. You're welcome.

The thread that is discussed above and was closed and is now reopened, is not about your system.

You obviously have not contacted any sponsor of ours. If you had, you would have found that they all had to undergo the same scrutiny. It is a short list, and we are in constant contact. Any sponsor who has been or would be accepted without that vetting is someone we already know and respect, and has already been vetted through our own experience, or was grandfathered in from before we took over the site.

Fulfill the vetting conditions sent to you, and we can discuss you becoming a sponsor. Failing that, we have nothing to discuss on the subject.

However, we will not tolerate attacks which are clearly without merit and do not serve the site or the membership.

Great car, great results!

As I understand, besides a supercharger, No upgraders were made by you to the camshafst, pistons, crankshaft?
Just the ignition, fuelsystem, some drivetrain updates, and a hauling big supercharger Very cool.

Dare I ask, (and if your not willing to answer I understand) What did these modifications cost you in general? Besides the time and effort it took for you install, and test the setup?

Thanks! and keep it running!

Hi Mevivio

My car was preped at Zuffenhausen for Clubsport-races. Some specials like intenals, flywheel etc. This was befor I bought it and it costed back then some 17'000 Deutsche Mark.

As for the SC conversion:
All I did beside the injectors was instal a piggyback for tuning (SMT6 / Perfecpower / Vitesseracing). It seems to work fine! The Price? The SFR-Kit plus shipping plus an up to now unknown number of swissfrancs for some special solutions we made... Still didnt get the bill yet!

I am looking foreward the snow to melt finally so I can take the car out again...
