Instruments - speedometer and tachometer
#1

About two weeks ago, while driving on a turnpike, I noticed that my speedometer was reading about 10mph under the speed my nav was showing. I also noticed that the tach was reading low. Since then, I've seen that the speedo won't go above about 60mph, and the tach won't go above about 3,000 rpm. The odometer and trip odometer are functioning correctly.

Ideas?

i'm thinking that a connector is not seated correctly - i had something similar happen when i had one on wrong - it was in the middle of dealing with the gear - can't remember exactly what i did wrong (switched, flipped or loose), but my speedo was wonky until i corrected it

I know that the leftmost of the three connectors behind the instrument panel is not seated fully - been that way for quite some time, with the result that the temp gauge sometimes pegs, and the left instrument panel light isn't on. I guess I'm going to have to bite the bullet and pull the panel, reseat that connector, and hope that cures all.

Thanks. I really should have done this when the weather was warm.
