#21

Is your flashing handbrake warning the big ! In the center or the actual handbrake warning on the temp/fuel gauge?

Quote:There are three bulbs illuminating the dash. I replaced mine with LED and it's fantastic. Much brighter.

When you replaced the 3 bulbs, with LED did it require a new socket as well, or did the bulb fit into the OEM socket? Can you tell me the LED bulb number and brand please? Would putting in only 2, say the two outside ones, make it less bright or would the bulb light not reach across enough?

William, I used this.

First I did what you suggested, LED on the outside and regular in the middle but it looked weird with the orange color in the middle so now it's all 3 with LED. I kept the OEM sockets and inserted the new bulbs into them.

I just had my mechanic change the bulbs to the LED suggested above. All I can say is WOW

With the new bulbs I can see everything. The markings are pure white in color, and while it is brighter it is not at all distracting. It took me a couple of night time driving to get use to it

So I changed out my odometer gear, put it all back together, and the lights in the cluster don't work.  Every other light on the dash works and the alarm/notification lights on the cluster work but not the regular lights that light up the gauges.  Anyone know which of the three plugs in the back is the most likely culprit so I can try with my fingers from underneath before tearing it all apart again?

Must be an age thing (your age not the car) as I put the LED  in and I love them but then I am 67 and night vision aint what it used to be..
