Anyone coming, Charles??? I've got the stage 2 chip and header installed, along with some brake ducts, can't wait to see how she performs.

968 is being put back together again. Don't know if she'll be ready by the weekend, but the wifes SUV should act as a great replacement..see you Friday.

Hmmm, SUV - guess that means that you can miss the curbs all together and go through the grass

Wow, what a great weekend at Barber, three days of sun and fun. Friday was instructor and racer day and I managed to burn about 33 gallons of gas, and another 40+ over the Sat. and Sun.

Charles pitted next to me, his 968 racer was finally ready to be track tested. He has been fighting brakes problems which we fixed with a good pressure blead (after seeing how easy it was, I'm sure he will buy one!).

I had some mechanical problems but still managed to get in alot of track time. First, the bolt holding my alternator wore out and allowed the altnator to shift, braking the belt. Believe it or not, I couln't find a replacement so I stole the "big" battery out of my 968 DD and ran on battery all of Sunday (charging it in between runs). During the process of playing with the alternator, I managed to move a flexible radiator hose enough that it rubbed on a bolt and developed a whole, so off to Auto Zone to get another. Even with the gremlins, I still had a great time.

I have not had time to edit any video, but did download the first run from the Sunday morning instructor run. A good friend came along for his first track ride and he had a great time, announcing that it was more fun than any ride at Six Flags. Click here (25mb file).

PS- even with over 400 miles of track time, only two cars passed me (for a total of 3 passes, both were Z06's). Also, the M3 boys were quite dissapointed that my little P-car outhandled them in turns and out ran them down the straights. In fact, late on Sunday one of the timers for the BMWCCA came around to see the car, stating that people in the booth were betting that I had a V-8 stuffed under the hood I love my little sleeper!

Awesome video. I am going to try and make it to Barber on the 17th, which will be my first race. Maybe I can meet you and later on I hope to get some training and race myself.

I'll be at the PCA DE and races. Look for the red 924S with the number 302 in yellow.
