F Stock race was a close battle with the top 4 drivers driving within 5 tenths of a second of each other per lap.
1st place: Gary Grigsby (968) (Fastest Lap 1:43.7)
2nd place : Karl Poeltl: (944 S2) (Fastest lap 1:43.8)
3rd place: Charles Geer: (968) (Fastest Lap 1:44.2)
4th place: Robert Viau: (944 S2) (Fastest Lap 1:44.1)
{Fastest lap of qualifying and race}
I got a great start and was able to overtake Karl Poeltl (944 S2) at the start. Driving an extremely defensive line I was able to fight him off for 10 laps.
Finally my brakes and tires had had enough and he was able to overtake me when I shot pass the turn in for the hairpin.
Robert Viau (944 S2) who passed me and Karl at the start, hesitated while entering the turn leading to the front straight while on the 8 th lap. I got a good run on him and barely secured the pass while going into turn 1. Although two of my tires went off the track at the exit of the turn, I was able to keep the car from spinning and maintained my 3rd place position in front of Viau.
