Had AC compressor replaced, now cruise broken
#1

I recently had my AC compressor replaced, and when I got my car back, my cruise control wasn't working. I use the cruise all the time so I'm sure it was fine when I took it in.

Could they have caused this? (Does the cruise control servo sit on top of where the compressor is?)

Thanks!

Mark

systems not linked - not likely directly related - probably a relay or fuse issue - check the box

Many people seem to have issues with the cruise control system on the 944/968s being intermittent or just not working. I don't know what the fix is but it has been discussed on the 944 boards at rennlist.

The fix I've read about is to remove the CC computer and resolder ALL the connections inside (yes, every solder joint on every PC board). Mine works on and off but I have yet to pull it out and try this.

As for your issue, I would double check all the plugs and connectors under the hood (maybe they forgot to put one back on)

IIRC, the cruise control module is a triple-layered circuit board and a mother to diagnose/repair. I found a replacement for $50 on Ebay--a better choice for me.
