Amazing...26 pages so far on a topic that the originator doesn't want to talk about. Imagine if he was long-winded!

I remember assuming "the stance" after having Pete install my Guards diff. It just happens....

Pat and Rhude: you two are out of control! When I finally make one of these meets, I will have a cask of rum to celebrate, and Phil can throw a leg up on it!

(last time I had so much fun reading a thread it was NSX Nick - anyone remember that?)

I haven't been on eBay in quite some time, but happened to look there this evening. It looks like DR1 has stimulated the market (although it may be that this has been out there for quite some time...I have no idea).

Interesting, in his description, it says "Does not require removal of the intake manifold or fuel system to install."
but includes new injectors.

How does one install new injectors without removing parts of the fuels system?

Wander how long till we hear about on going boom from because of "band aid tuning" or lack there of?

No need to make fun of other manufacturers (unless they are obvious frauds like the ones with the turbo-kit for pocket change). They do their kits the way the want to for their own reasons and it is up to us as customers to pick whatever we think, feel or know is best for us. Unless this is a forum dedicated to a specific manufacturer but that is not the case is it?

Two points.

1. That turbo kit for pocket change ($299, IIRC) may not be a fraud. The seller said he was the parts supplier, not the kit vendor - that's why there were no instructions. Possibly he was stuck with inventory and was trying to dump it. Could have been totally legit.

2. I believe it is true that all of us have the benefit of free choice - we can purchase from a sponsor on this site, or we can purchase anywhere else that we choose. Buy what you want - and, as we used to say in the original days of drag racing, "run what you brung".

"run what you brung". NICE

The remarks made on the other kits weren't malicious in nature. I didn't hear anyone discouraging or bashing the product. More of a discussion around the cost and lack of support (perhaps I should've re-read it before posting this). A little joke here and there is often tempered by comments like Anchorman who noted that the kit could be legit.

I was primarily referring to the comment about satin finish and "going boom". The other aspects previously discussed, like design issues or tuning aspects, are imo serious and not something to say anything about.

The kit was 399 USD and stated 485 hp - not a fraud?

An FMU with stock engine mapping is hardley a "tune".
Not discrediting Carls hard work. I just think he should have gone the extra 10%.

Oh, well ahhh.. yeah. That's a bit harsh. It is a little funny though.

I doubt it would have been said if the developer or owner started that thread. This isn't the type of crowd to slam people. Enough on that. This is a thread about Bob and Pete's SC.

So BOT - I cant wait to see this thing at Hershey. My expectations for the fit and finish are pretty high. Thus far, it's the best looking bolt on I have ever seen.

Is what it was. Just a light hearted ribbing at someone filling in the "Finish" field. BOT
