Flashing rear brake lights
#1

Hope you guys can help with this problem. I hate electrical stuff! The other night while driving home enjoying a warn night with the top down on CT's lovely Merritt Parkway my wife who was following me told me when we arrived home that my 3 brake light as well as rear lights were flashing on and off regardless if I was pressing on the brake pedal. It seems to only do this when I have the headlights on. I should mention that that on the afternoon of the evening drive I replaced both stoplight bulbs that were both burnt out. I can't say for sure if this flashing was happening before changing the bulbs or not. Could I have screwed something up changing the bulbs. It was definitely the first time that the rear housings were removed on my 1994 Cab. Appreciate any guidance.

It might be worth it to check the wire running from the trunk lid to the body.. I found mine looking like this:
