Daytime Running Lights
#1

I had a recent issue with bad wires changing H3 bulbs in my fog lights. They had blown a fuse and I have since rewired them.

The issue now is that the illuminated switch on my dash seems to not operate anything, it used to turn my daytime running lights on or off when the headlights were on. The daytime running lights come on at start up as they should, and go off when the headlights are turned on, as they should.

The fogs work correctly, but what I don't seem to be able to do is run the daytime lights at the same time as the headlights anymore. I have always been able to do that.

Relay maybe?

Thoughts? Canadian car.

you might have blown the relay. you have to be careful about the current draw on these systems. unfortunately as the cars get older, the wiring corrodes from the inside out and creates more load on the system. add bulbs that draw more current and you exacerbate that situation. if you plan to run brighter lights, you'll probably continue to blow fuses and relays until you upgrade your wiring.

try contacting higher connections to see if they have a headlight wiring kit.
