Experiene with Boge rear shocks
#1

I recently replaced my front struts with OEM product and I am very happy with how that turned out. I do not track the car and prefer a compliant ride on our choppy roads (even worse after the Brisbane Floods). I have a non M030 car with stock springs.

I now realise that my rear shocks also need replacing. I have read pretty much all the posts and I am down to either the OEM Boge or the Koni Sports from Paragon. I feel that the Bilstein HD might be too stiff.

My mechanic is advising me to stick with the OEM Boge for the rear.

Any recent advice or strong points of view from those far more experienced and knowledgable than I.

Many thanks,

Peter

given that you prefer the stock struts, i would say you would prefer the boge - the koni yellow sport has a gas charge that creates a pre-load and makes the car too twitchy for my tastes - a good budget upgrade, but not for everybody

no worries - everybody is different - i like the OEM stuff on the white, car, but i also like the setup i have on the blue car, though it took quite a bit to get there and it wasn't cheap to do
