I spent two hours removing paint and trying to polish my cam cover...I just don;t have the right tools to get into all the little spaces...gave up and dropped it off at a pro's shop



Also dropped off my good cam cover bolts and washers for ZnCr plating today. price ~10$

That is the one thing that bothers me about my car. I just replaced my valve cover gasket and all of my v/c bolts look like crap. I should have bought new ones when I was doing it but didn't think it through. Oops!

You could give them a quick "polish" by removing them and hitting them with a soft wire wheel on a drill.

or you can do this...just got them back from the plating service (10$)..had to order a few new ones as some twisted upon removal.......
