Porsche engine mount options & tiptronic trans mount part #?
#1

Hi all,

The motor/engine mounts and tiptronic transmission mount for my 1995 tiptronic cabriolet are going to be replaced with OEM, but there are two Porsche OEM options I've seen and I don't know how they're different.

This is the first option:

https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info2/...VSVSI=0777

This is the second option:

https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/9...VSVSI=0777

Also I want to replace the tiptronic transmission mount with a Porsche OEM version. Is the Porsche manual transmission mount and the Porsche tiptronic transmission mount the same for a 1995 cab?

Thanks for any help you can give me!

No the mounts for a tip and manual are different. The tip mounts are the most expensive ones. The mounts are smoother then manual ones. There are no after market versions available.

You're talking about the engine mounts, right?

Is the transmission mount for the 968 tiptronic transmission the same as the manual transmission mount or not?

The part number Pelican lists for it is: 944 375 045 11, but it's listed as "manual transmission mount":

However 944 Online's shop says/claims they're the same:

The transmission mount is the same I think.that will give no problem. Thr enginemount will. Because the vibrations are different and I heard it is not a good idea to install the manual engine mount.

I have searched the forums and I haven't seen an answer that gives part numbers.

I'm going to try asking my two separate questions in a different way, so they're easier to understand and answer.

Question 1. Which is the correct engine mount  for a 1995 cabriolet with tiptronic?

Option one:

https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info2/...VSVSI=0777

Option two:

https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/9...VSVSI=0777

Question 2. I am going to replace the tiptronic transmission mount separately. Is this the correct transmission mount for the tiptronic transmission, or not? The reason I ask is because it's listed as "manual transmission mount".

I understand there is a difference between an engine mount and a transmission mount.

Thanks! I talked to Pelican Parts and they told me this is the correct part number for the Tiptronic transmission mount, even though it's clled "Manual Transmission Mount":

You may want to call Sunset in Oregon. I have always found them to be straight with their info.

At least it would be confirmation and a second opinion.
