Driving in Japan : Hakone Hill Climb through Hakone Turnpike
#1

Hi all,

Mt.Hakone in Kanagawa prefecture, about 70 Km from central Tokyo, is a famous tourist spot for its beautiful scenery and Onsen (hot spring).

It's also enjoyable to drive around Hakone, for there are many twisty mountain road out there. I believe one of the best hill climb road in Japan is this "Hakone Turnpike". Since the Hakone turnpike is a private property, you can drive fast.

I am glad some of you enjoy this movie.

Hi Jasper, nice video and good dat for a drive. I visited Hakone once from tokyo using a combination of the shinkansen (high speed train),local trains, cable car 'ropeway' and boot. Nice area although a bit touristic especilly the black eggs you can buy directly boiled in the hot water springs which sell by the hundreds.

Hi Jaa

You must have visited Ohwakudani. You smelled sulfur, didn't you? Hakone area is huge. Lakes, spas, tons of ryokans (Japanese style hotel) and of course good twisty roads are out there.

Glad some of you could enjoyed the video. Thanks for your kind words. My car is not that excellent condition. It might have looked so due to low video resolution. I will post some pictures later.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! It's like the knockout woman you pick up in the dimly lit smokey bar. Keep the resolution low! Your car still looks and sounds great.
