Drove a 55 RS Spyder Replica this Sunday. IMA Motrosport was a vendor at Porsche Concours event in VA. The car belongs to a customer of IMA and we wanted an attention grabber. It was all that. I had a choice of driving the Spyder or a GT3 RS. I would have driven the GT3 but it has a Sparco race seat which was difficult to in and out of. The Spyder is an exact replica with a 914 engine and 5 speed transmission, fiber glass body, front wheel disc brakes. Despite the fact that it's been a long time since I drove a ragtop it was a fun drive. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif[/img] My forehead was over the top of the wind screen so I got a lot of hair blown. Had a bit of a learning curve to getting it in gear and the exhaust was very loud. The ride was definetly on the harsh side. It really felt odd driving the 968 home.
