Texas Hill Country Rally
#1

This past weekend my father in law and I took the 968 out for a rally put on by the San Antonio Jaguar club (he is a member). Put about 300 miles on the car which is more than double what I have done on it in the past year (been working on it more than driving it). The car did great, the weather was great (about 70 degrees) and there were some great views. The roads are mostly back roads with some single lane roads with cattle stops, etc. Twists and turns, single lane bridges, etc. to make it interesting. The rally always ends in Luckenbach, TX (this was our 3rd year doing it and last year drove my 90 944 S2) so had a beer and listened to some live music and then headed home. There were 2 Ferraris, old triumphs, porsches, and of course jags of different years and makes.

Anyway, fun roads to drive and just wanted to share that it is nice to get out in these cars just for the sake of driving them!

That's what these cars were built for. Glad to see you enjoying it as it was designed.
