dash covers
#1

Like almost every dash, mine has a few cracks along the vents and elsewhere... while dash replacement is high on the list of things to do, for the moment with little money, i looked into different types of dash mats... i never liked the look of carpet on a dash, even temporarily, and was hesitant about any type of cover... i then found a company on ebay of all places that sells different materials of dash mats. for 40 bucks i thought it would be worth a try and bought a "black suede" dash mat. got it in yesterday and i am actually very impressed with the materials and stitching... i'll take some pictures for ya'll to see for yourself, but for my purposes, its perfect. again not a long term solution but it really doesn't look out of place either...

Did you ever take pictures of this? I'd be interested to see...

Me also. My dash is the worst part of the car.

I'm interested in seeing this also. I've got no cracks yet, but my dash skin seems to be shrinking in one spot and is pulling tight across the vent channel. Getting the top of the dash completely out of the sun is probably a good idea.

Came across this old topic when searching for information on dash covers. Did anyone ever get one? Are there any photos?

I don't have any cracks, but I want to cover the top of the dash to keep it nice and to alter the color.

How do these covers stay in place?

I guess I have to count my blessings, one of which is a 20 year old dash in perfect shape! Thanks to all previous owners who stored my 968 indoors or used the "small" car cover when outdoors (covers the widshield and the interior when top is down) .
