Since the S/C install, we've been chasing an intermittent knock sensor blink code (1-2-3-1). I reset the codes with a Bosch Hammer and the 1-2-3-1 came back. Last night, I replaced the #1 knock sensor (PITA not withstanding the supersized dose of blue loctite that was fighting my efforts). Having now run 50 miles, I think its fixed and blinking 1-5!
Ready for the Ortega Run now.

What was the before and after power? I'm thinking about the SC for the race car...but the application might not be right for a racer vs a street performer...
The unit looks outstanding and I like that I could probably do the install over the winter myself.

Hi Flash - thanks for the info. What would you suggest? Turbo up the 3.0 or throw a 2.5 Turbo motor in the 968? One of the members from EEK racing (?) made some mad time improvements putting a 2.5 in his car.
Not likely for the 2011 season but I would like to race in Super Touring at the national level in 2012 and will need about 275-300 hp/tq at the wheels to compete.
Cheers

quick update...we've put over 6k miles on the D1R SuperCharger now without issue. along the way, I added the RSB catback to complete the kit. Love the exhaust tone from it.
In fiddling with installing an oil temp sender last week, i managed to foul the MAF connector, causing an intermittent "check engine" light that would come on under heavy load above 3500 rpm. A blink test showed 1-2-2-3, Oxygen Regulation. With electrical contact cleaner and a q-tip, i cleaned both the plug and socket on MAF connector; no more ! light. Butt-O-Meter thinks this added another ponie under the hood also.
This car has over 110,000 miles on it now and I couldn't be happier with it.
