Whats interesting is he has all the Turbo body work (Naca Ducts, Intercooler outlet, Adjustable rear spoiler, Turbo Air inlet in the front bumper) with the exception of the Front splitter.

Zoran used to be on the various 968 boards. Haven't seen him pop up for awhile....

Cool car!

Wow this car was built locally (to me) in Melbourne. Can't wait to see it pop up at our PCA meets.

There are quite a few 968 Turbos runnign around in Australia. There was an orange one someone posted here before and fitzgerald Racing (In Victoria) built 4 Turbo RS clones.

Yes, I plan on doing a race training day with Peter Fitzgerald soon as he's a man who knows our cars well.
Here's one of his RS replicas in the presence of some CSs.

another one of the Fitzgerald RS replica's can be seen on the Porsche Club of Western Australia's website. He won their club championship last year. Car is black and has orange RS coloured wheels and stripes. Several clips on YouTube of car as well.

Craig, do you by chance have pics of all 4 Fitzgerald racing 968 Turbo RS cars? It would be greatly appreciated if you could post them or email them to me, so i could add them to my Turbo database.

Zoran,

That's a fantastic car. Nice work! The article makes the process sound pretty simple. Was it? How does it handle typical day in day out running?

Thanks, and again, really nice work. Beautiful.

Interesting how he knife-edged the crank; I'd been advised against doing that, due to the inherent imbalances of our enormous four-bangers, but you never know - with appropriate balancing of all the components, I suppose it can be done safely. Love the seats, too.

Knife edge the crank. Love to but just another reason for my SC to stall when I take my foot off the gas - we need the mass. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/sad.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Interesting. I was told the main reason for keeping the mass in the crank was to help dampen the imbalances inherent to our large displacement four-bangers. I know this is off topic, but what is it about the supercharger that requires rotating mass to keep it from stalling? This of course wouldn't apply to a turbo.

the constant drag of the supercharger puts enough load on the engine that it exceeds the ability of the ICV to maintain running - even a light flywheel causes problems - a really light one doesn't work at all

cool to see press on these cars though
