968 Turbo S on display at Porsche Museum

There is a special exhibit at the Porsche Museum celebrating "60 years of Porsche Clubs". Several special cars make up part of the exhibit, one which is a Porsche 968 Turbo S . You can see the tail end of it in this photo.

Interesting to compare with the 924 Baustufe 1 which is also at display at the Porsche Museum.



I have the theory that they decided rather late in the development to move the motor to the front. This would explain the big butt and the air vents.



I wouldn't be surprised if the 924 design started off with the EA 266 project!

You're not alone . :-). Looks like the Porsche version of the AMC Pacer...and orange was a very common color for Pacers.
