I have a clunk coming from the front right wheel. It occurs when I come out of a driveway a little on a high side or go over a bump in the road. I have taken the wheel off and tighten everything I can get a wrench on. I have replaced the wheel bearings, but still get the clunk! Any thought?
Thanks
Steve

Have you replaced caster blocks? Back of the A Arm rubber bushings tend to degrade over time...they are often overlooked and frequently the source of many front steering issues.

Sway Bar bushing? Does it do it when you turn, as in a three point turn?

would struts bottoming out cause such a noise?

How old are the struts?? Missing bump-stops is not a good sign.

Pretty sure thats why they have bump-stops. When I pulled my struts out, the stops were all there, but you could tell they had changed from the new feel.

When the clunk happens I am at parking lot speeds, coming out of a driveway of going over those (expletive deleted) speed bumps. I am guessing that one or the other bushing is to blame since I don't think I am even close to the end travel of the strut. I could be wrong. I will let you guys know.

I will check but I don't think it has ever been taken apart.
BTW, I just bought a new German canvas top from GAHH! Now I have to figure out how to put it on. There was a post from a member that was going to try this himself. Can you point me to that again?
Cheers
