Car care Products
#41

I had Stephenwz968 come up this Sunday and give my Proche's a little "spa day" (and an STS too <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> )

Here are some of the pics that I snapped. Stephen did an excelent job - I could never have gotten the paint that smooth, stain free, and polished by my self! Great guy who worked his ass off for a full day, but the results were well worth it.

I actualy think my car is faster now that the paint is so shiny and smooth <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Pics of my 924s. 968, and my STS

Thanks for the compliments, Steve! It was a pleasure working on your cars and meeting you.

I started another thread with the process and a few more pics.

I'm not sure I've used the same wax/polish more than twice yet. Carnauba, Mothers, Maguires, Zaino, Rejex, etc....and most recently something called Optimax or something like that (not cheap). It seems to work like the Rejex stuff and goes on really easy. I'm into my 3rd month with the original application on my four cars and it's surprising me how long water will still bead up on it. The jury's still out though and I'm still looking for the perfect wax/polish that will last forever and look showroom perfect. In my experience, they all seem to work OK but the Rejex/Optimax stuff goes on easy and seems to do the job....although I would like a deeper gloss look. I've purchased a bunch of Groit's kit but not tried it yet. Still waiting for the Optimax to crap out on me. I hope it's a long wait.

BTW, I'm not kidding but recently on Amazon.com I saw a wax kit (w/lifetime refills) offered for a bit over $7,000! (yes that's the right number of zeros).

Yeah, I know someone who bought it and is quite happy with it. Nice to have more money than you know what to do with but it does give a beautiful shine and depth.
