Cam Timing (tools) The Real Questions
#1

I am located in the middle of connecticut along route 95. I have the engine out of my 1992 968 as it is in the process of a rebuild. I am at the point that I need to set the cam timing. Does any one have the porsche tool for maintaining the 3 bars of air pressure necessary to set the cam timing. If so would you be willing to lend it to me to do the job? The next question would be , Is there anyone within a reasonable driving distance that has the tools and has done this job before that would be willing to do it with me looking over your shoulder. I would be willing to pay someone for their time and help. Have van, can travel. Let me know and I will be there.

Either way, any help would be appreciated.

Some how cut out the detail to this post on the first try >

Hi Stephen--I'm about in the same place as you are, engine-wise, putting in a set of reground cams (when they show up). so I'll be watching this thread!
