Any interesting stories behind your forum name?
#1

I'm surprised nobody's ever brought this up, which makes me think it may be verboten (if so, feel free to slap me down), but I've always wondered about the origin of some of the clever-sounding names the members here have chosen for themselves. A few people have told me what their name signifies, and it usually isn't anything I would have expected. So, anybody want to share how you came up with your name?

I'll start, but mine's (I think) very obvious - just a melding of a colloquial expression for a state of elation or happiness with our beloved cars' model name.

I didn't think so, but the fact that this is something that never seems to be talked about had me wondering if it's bad netiquette to do so. OK, I'm anxious to see some of the responses.

Come to think of it, some of the people with the more intriguing names, such as Anchorman and Ether Joe (been scratching my head over that one for years) are no longer active. But there are still some interesting ones out there...

Sometimes, I name my cars. This one is BeBe, which could be "baby" or Ball Buster.

Mine is my initials which stand for Andrew James Green. I won't bore you with the latin version of our motto on the family crest which hangs in the ancestral home in Glen Clanga suffice to note that it translates to " We're not so Green as we're cabbage looking, not so daft as we're stupid looking". The family are very proud of it.
