Airbag Light
#41

Looks very reliable. I was awere that the lighter has no 12 volt when ignition was off.
Maybe that is a difference between a ROW model and a US version?

That could be. I am an avid non-smoker but I have seen others who would bite of thier own leg rather than miss a smoke opportunity - gotta have that lighter available 24/7

Dave, do you have the schematic for your board? If so, could I get a copy of it? I researched the other threads, but couldn't find a copy. My email is philfix - at - yahoo.
Did you use the scantool3.zip file for the software interface?
Thanks a bunch. I'm looking forward to building this interface and resetting my airbag light!

Phil,

Come down to my Prep Picnic on the 10th and I'll reset it for you...I've got the Durametric software. I've also got the circuit board that this thread refers to and a copy of the schematic that you're welcome to take a look at.

BTW, if it stays out, you're good to go...if not, there's something legitimately wrong, but you probably knew that!

My last fault turned out to be legit - the connector on the back of the passenger airbag wasn't fully seated. Since the fault occurred within a day of my having removed the steering wheel, I was (wrongly) convinced that I'd messed something up. The Bosch hammer (at RS Barn) and Max helped identify, and rectify, the issue.

Phil - I'll send you the stuff I used and the schematic that was the simplest to build. There are pics on the forum of my parts placement but I will send those 2.
