Airbag cover discolored
#1

Hi everyone,

I just recently noticed that the passenger side airbag cover (?) is very discolored at the top edge. Anything that can be done to restore the look of it (gray interior)?

Thanks

Your best bet would be to get a new one. Check out the Pet catalog for the part number. I wouldn't think it would be that expensive, unless you have to buy an entire dash pad. I had a classic grey interior 968 but my dash and airbag cover was one of the few parts that didn't suffer from any discoloration. Maybe because I had it covered with Meguiars #40 all the time. You can also check used. 20th street had a white 968 coupe with classic grey interior that they were parting out.

Don't fly in without checking the address, 20th Street Auto is now on 40th Street. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

PET is the porsche parts catalog.

40th street is one of the Porsche dismantlers

Here is their link:

I used this on my rear side panels in my cab. Good color match for classic gray.

But I'll bet that you found the (doomed to be unsuccessful) light rail system that forced 20th Street to move.
