#1

What is the part #'s for the low temp fan switch and the low temp thermostat?

Here's what I found for a low temp switch:

pelican parts fan switches

I can get a 75, 85 or 92 - which one should I get?

I saw another post saying get the one for a 90 VW vanagon

The low temp fan switch was originally designed for the 90 VW vanagon, that is why it is often referenced as such.

IIRC, I'm running the 85c Thermostat while 92c is stock.

I'm going with the 72c, which is about 161 fahrenheit on the switch.

Now anyone know where i can get a 160 degree thermostat?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of a colder thermostat? Wouldn't running at a lower temp reduce efficiency slightly?

Before flash chimes in with the phd detail From my layman's level - It's HOT and muggy down here 10 months of the year and I drive my car all day long, every day in stop and go traffic. So, I'd rather have the guage at the bottom white line than right near the top one cuz it's so damn hot down here!
