968 turbo conversion

Yep, a metal HCV is a smart move for sure.

Do we know what the temp rise is out of the unit or more specific by the time it gets to the throttle body. Just trying to decide if it's worth while to delete the warm water lines at the throttle body.

Also, is the proper procedure to route around or may they just be blocked off?

if you have temps below 40 degrees F, do not block off the throttle body preheater lines

if you don't, then go down to the hardware store and get a brass barbed double ended coupler fitting and just join the hoses together (use hose clamps to be sure of no leaks) - then just stick some rubber caps on the throttle body fittings to keep gunk out of there (hose clamps will keep them in place)

How has everyone been? thought I would read through my build again as I needed some info on my original turbo. Miss the 968, she always ran great. Sold everything to a guy in Florida a few years back. He seemed to have all good intentions and last I heard she was running just fine.

Bought a Mas GTS and drove that for a while. Super nice ride w/~430hp. Unfortunately, she developed a a few issues and I ended up getting rid of her.

Now working on a new Alfa Romeo turbo project.

Hope everyone is well. MAybe someday i will get back into the Porsche life! They always seem to run well....

Been a while since this thread was opened. I know of a few 16v builds that survive either on the road , track or both.

Don't think you need to re invent the wheel although there are different ways to skin a cat.

Depends on budget and intention of use for the car.
