I hate to see a post go unanswered and I'm far from qualified to answer...but...as far as I know....968s made for the USA market do not have a second keyhole for the immobilizer...but european or RoW (rest of world) car may have this. If so, apparently the keyhole for this is pretty close to your ignition key. My car's manual says that it has an immobilizer too but no separate immobilizer key hole. However, I do have diffferent keys for the wheel locks. I'm sure there's someone better than me to respond but that's my belief at this point.

Perhaps the extra key is to the former owner's girlfriend's apartment? With a little reasearch I suspect you can find the lock.

Harvey, you answered it well.

Flash, my storage boxes and glove box use the tip of my ignition key. Is yours different?

the thing is that the remote control says Porsche and its made by bosch, so i assumed it was factory standard to some point.

After seaching some forums i found a pattern on the blinking lights in the door, if some contacts are not made, like hood not closed, or the boot, it actually blinks in a diferent way, but the alarm is not going off, i i still cant find, where to disable it or the imobilizer.

My car dont have any storage in the back, it have seats <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

eric - yes, i have a separate key - the ignition key does not work - this is the "normal" setup according the the owner's manual

the ignition key is supposed to work the ignition, the glove box and the gas cap

the stroage box key is separate

the wheel lock key (if you have the early type) is separate

vedder - if you have another porsche key, i have no clue where it would go

My bad, yup, mine is the same as yours. I bolted those shut for the subs so long ago, I haven't carried the key.
