Did a search and got 1000 responses but no luck.

Anyway, someone know the true OEM wheel offset for front and rear??

I found some numbers like :

Front postive 52mm

Rear positive 60mm

Are these correct??

Thanks guys.

Stock 16in 'OEM' offset is what I am looking for. Kim...are you sure about those numbers?

Smokie: If there is a stock 17in rim and the numbers are different, I would want to know them, too.

I have aftermarket 18in rims : front 8.5 in and rear 10 in wide. I plan to pull the wheels tomorrow and measure the offset. I am trying to determine how much variation there is between the aftermarket and the OEM offsets.

there are 2 different style of 17s - C2 Turbo, and 993 Cup - they have different offsets - i should know these off the top of my head, but i'm spacing out at the moment

I Just bought another set of the Eurotech silver 5 star wheels like I have already (because somebody like to drive off road......) Anyway, set is 695 with shipping. Can't beat that. Come in black or silver with Porsche crest.

Ahh but what do they weight? I never see weights posted in ads and I natuarally expect a frugal set of rims to be 25+ lbs each and a HRE/OZ etc. to be 5+ lbs lighter. I'm hoping it's not a rule that $1,000+ each rims are the only light ones cuz I want Flash's rims and I fear my wife knows what they are worth. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/unsure.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I think cup II's weigh around 18lbs for the 9" rears.

I could be wrong.

I think enki makes an 18" wheel that weighs 20lbs. I guessing on price at $500 per.

some people (8 or so out of 3000) had trouble ordering from them but if you read the negative comments, they are kind of bogus. They list a number and everytime I called (three times on Friday ) the phone was always answered quickly. I dealt with Frank(import guy). Nice on the phone.

No weight posted in add or on receipt. Outside rim is stainless (PO hit a couple of curbs ..deep scratches..no corrosion, no rust. These are not light, but they are not very heavy either(they are as big as you can fit..and I have a stiffened suspension, so no rubbing). Since I already have a set, I am pretty sure they will fit. I will weigh them when they arrive.

stainless? interesting - never seen that - yeah, that's going to be heavy - i'm going to guess that a rear rim in that size would then be about 28lbs

the 993 Cup rim (often misnomered as "Cup 2" - i'd really like to use the correct name here, and stop perpetuating what started in europe as a result of the cup car that was there but never here) weighs a bit over 22lbs rear in the offset and width that came on these cars - the front is a bit over 19 lbs

the C2 Turbo rims on the earlier cars are about 2 lbs heavier each

replicas of each weigh about 2 lbs each more than the original

Well these may actually be spun aluminum, but have thick chrome.

As for stainless, I almost got a set of Schmidt wheels for the Alfa. Very tough 'stainless' rims. I have seen a few sets and they are VERY sweet. They make them for just about any car/wheel size requirement.

The EuroTech wheels are really nice looking. I wrote them via eBay and they responded that the wheels weigh 26 and 28 pounds, respectively, front and rear. That's about the same as my aftermarket CupIIIs. Kind of heavy.

xrad - please post you experiences with these rims when you get them. They are 1/4 the price of HRE rims so one wonders where the value lies.

My 17 x7 and 17 x 9 993 Cups have an ET 55 offset front and rear. These are OEM off a NB 993 and carry 993 part numbers. That being said the 968 is pretty forgiving with respect to wheel offset. I haven't tried a set yet that didn't fit, even 9 inch fronts went on. The matching 11 inch rears rubbed, so I took them back off. Right now I have 16s back on it while I refurbish the 993 Cups. It really does ride and handle a lot better than the 18 inch 996 twists I've had on there for the last couple of years, and if I change from 1st to 2nd too quickly the rear tires bark so loud you'd think I was dumping the clutch. I'm anxious to compare to the 17s, which I have never run on this car. I'm doing the wheels myself, and it's going slowly.

yeah - those twists are heavy - the lighter wheel goes a long way toward making the car more fun
