18 x 9 and 18 x 11
#1

I have a beautiful set of Gemballa Lemans wheels in silver just sitting in my basement. they will fit my 996, but it has Gt3 wheels, that match the rest of the look. I would like to put them on one of my cars. Is there a chance they will fit my 968 cab? They have 996 offsets, rear 62MM, fronts are 50 or 55, but I'm sure they will work, it's the rears I doubt. Has anyone tried 11 inch wheels on their 968? I'm going to change the wheels this weekend anyway, but I'll try the Gemballas first unless someone knows for sure they won't work.

you can get 11s under there, but you have to have the perfect offset, camber angle, suspension travel limits and tire width

neither offset is right though - the 50 on the 9 will stick out - 57mm is the limit on a 9, and even then you have to have a decent amount of negative camber, and have to watch how much you lower the car - you might be able to cheat a couple of millimeters if you choose a narrow tire, so the 52 "might" squish in there, but the 255/35 i have on mine is right at the edge with 57, and in fact rubs the bra some of the time

the 62 on the 11 will likely need spacers

Thanks for the quick response. The tires have 295 30s and 225 40s right now. I have three sets of spacers around here somewhere, but the least of the bunch is 17mm I think. Sounds like too much to me. What do you figure 7?

i have a 52 offset on a 10 with a 285/30 - it's right at the edge with my camber setting and ride height - an 11" rim would move that edge out 12.5mm - the 295 would move it out another 5mm - that's 17.5 - now add that to the 52 to move that back under, and you get 69.5 for an offset - not sure if there is room there or not - i think eric k might have an 11 under his though - do a search

the 225/40, while the right outside diameter, is VERY stretched on a 9 - that could make for some rim bashing - be careful there
