Wheel offset, I need a quick answer.

we are getting pushed in that direction. little by little the tire manufacturers are pulling back on smaller diameters. i just looked, and was not happy at the limitations of the 16s.

Yes, it's unfortunate. Unless you have huge brakes, I just don't understand the benefits of anything larger than a 17" diameter wheel. Larger wheels started appearing several years ago on very high-ed, ultra-high-powered cars which legitimately need larger brakes, and everybody thought they looked cool, so now they're making their way even to small SUVs.

yup - originally it was purely aesthetics. now, it's getting really hard to find good tires anything smaller

Anyone out there running 18x8 on all 4 corners? I have available a really nice set of 18x8 ET57 wheels, that I was thinking of running with 245-35 tires.



Any input on the idea? I can stay with the staggered 17's, or go with these.
