hello there,



I am looking at buying a 1992 968-cab with 93k miles for $14.5k, from a local seller here in San Francisco....and since I am new to the world of 968, having come from BMW-M's...wanted to reach out see if anyone has any pointers/things/stuff I should look for..ask about, see etc..



the car has the following done to it in the last 2.5 years

- All new belts

- Clutch Master Cylinder

- Slave Cylinder

- new starter

- new cam belts

- new balance shart belt

- b/s tensioner roller

- cam belt roller

- cam belt idler

- bam belt guide shim

-new water pump

-new spark plugs



any help is greatly appriciated.

The red one? On paper, I think it's priced quite well. The usual thing to do is to get a Pre-Purchase Inspection, ask about the pinion bearing, timing belt/water pump (which you have), clutch, cam chain wear, recent records and the usual gremlins (accidents, etcs), and look for evidence of good ownership (like, being a participant on 968forums.come or 968.net <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> )
