Back window in a cab
#1

Hello forum

I've lurked a few months, (I have an 84' Carrera), but love the 968 Cabs. My gf loves them also. Pete from RS Barn did a PPI for us today on one in the Philly area. One of the issues with the car is the back window. I guess it's brown and would not pass inspection. My question... Can the back window alone be replaced and if so at what cost. What would the cost be to replace the whole top also?

Thanks in advance,

Mark

I looked into a full top replacement about 3 months ago. Was about a $2500 job. I'd call someone who actually does those jobs though. Not sure about window only.

Which cab you lookin' at?

There is one in the Philly area. Was advertised as Midnight Blue but turns out to be Adventurer Green? Which I'd like to see what it looks like.

I've found a website that makes the tops. Both pieces are around $800. That's leaves a whole bunch for labor! Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the link Mark.

i sent you a response on another board, giving the "why you should do it all" details, but yeah - should not be more than 1200 for a complete job

Looks like a nice piece. Hard to tell if blue or green. Let us know how it looks in the flesh.
