I put a new Porsche WP on my 968 too. Got it from Sunset who ordered it from Germany. On some car parts, I usually go with Porsche brand. WPs and Tbelts are two of these. However, on my S4 928, I did buy a Porsche rebuilt (from Germany, not California). It looks great. I went with the plastic impeller to avoid block damage if it lets go. There are companies that say that they sell WP rebuilts "from the same US company that does them for Porsche." If this is true, I wonder why my latest Porsche rebuilt WP came from Germany. It was a total and very well done rebuild. Looks new. Came with gasket, all new bolts, etc.
BTW, I have a used WP with about 25K miles on it. I took it off and put a new WP on "while I was in there."
Anyone know what can be done with a used 968 WP? Anyone paying for core units...or does anyone want to take a chance on a 25K unit?
