[ video ] A yellow 968 vs a 911

Filmed in France, on the Magny Court racetrack. The guy drives a 911 3.2l and try to overtake a nice 968. The comments ( written in french, sorry ) are particularly ironic. If one day someone tells you your 968 isn't worth a 911, SHOW HIM THAT:

LOL Great video, I wish I could remember what little French I learned 30 years ago. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Funny, it looks as though the guy in the 968 is seriously holding up the guy in the 911. I really don't think this was a racing situation, but more like DE. The guy in the club sport should have let the 911 by earlier. Of course the spin at the end was very typical of what happens when you lose concentration behind the wheel of a 911.

Still very interesting to see how the 968 was limited by understeer and the 911 was limited by the opposite. In a real race, 911 could have moved him over at anytime.

yup - said he didn't have the room to pass

then he said he would "eat it on the next braking", so it looks like this was staged

It really doesn't look like either of them could drive. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/huh.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Those are suicide drivers in an IDD (improvised drifting device).

I wonder if my wife would let me buy a BMW 760i for a drift car? They seem to work well. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/unsure.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I just watched the video and have three observations.

1. My long-time desire to drive Magny Cours notwithstanding, I'm saddened that yesterday was the last Grand Prix Francais at this famous and wonderful track. Too bad about that.

2. The driver of the 968 was probably one of the worst I've ever seen. Did you see the line he took through the course? He was awful. Il était terrible.

3. The 911 jockey was not good enough to pass the bozo driving the 968. C'est incroyable!
