Trip Odometer gears stripped-Need Help
#1

The prior owner apparently tried to reset the trip odometer while driving. I push the button in on the vent and ...nothing. I've read where this is not a big deal and the gears are available, but the gears are all market as odometer gears not trip ododmeter gears. Are they the same? Where can I get the instructions to make the fix?

Check out this topic. I think this is the one Flash is talking about. It includes some nice pics.

There's a guy on this forum named Brett who makes replacement odometer gears for $10, including shipping. I recently replaced mine with one of his, and it fixed both the trip odo and the regular one that records the car's total mileage. Send me a PM, and I'll get you Brett's email address.

Read the article. Found the switch dangling behind the vent. Heres the fix.
